At Eight Months Old, Romulus and Remus Have Already Doubled in Size
A development update on Colossal Biosciences’ dire wolf pack shows the science working exactly as intended
Eight months in, Romulus and Remus are growing at a pace that speaks for itself. The brothers now weigh over 100 pounds each, a body mass more than 25% greater than a typical gray wolf at the same developmental stage, pointing to the successful expression of dire wolf genetic traits. Colossal’s team has completed comprehensive health assessments including blood tests and CT imaging to monitor skeletal and muscular development, with results supporting the pack’s continued progress. Early pack dynamics are also taking shape: Remus has begun displaying alpha behaviors through a watchful, strategic demeanor, while Romulus leans toward exploratory beta tendencies. Those roles are expected to evolve further as younger female Khaleesi is integrated into the pack. Read more at The Express.
